Corpus Christi School uses Scrip as its ongoing fundraiser. Here’s how it works:
For example, if you plan to shop at Winn Dixie and expect to spend $100, you would place a Scrip order for a $100 Winn Dixie card and include payment for $100. The Scrip program will order that card at a 4% discount, only paying $96 for the Winn Dixie card. The school earns $4 profit on the card. You will receive the $100 Winn Dixie card and go shopping.
The Scrip program offers “profit-sharing” to each participating family. After the family has earned $100 profit for the school, additional profit earned is split 50/50 between the family and the school. The profit is given back to the family in the form of a "rebate" check. You can also get past the initial $100 profit requirement by making a tax-deductible $100 donation to the Scrip program. This option is known as “JumpStart” and is listed on the Scrip order form.
Scrip orders are processed on Monday mornings. Most parents send their orders in an envelope marked “Scrip Office” in their child’s school folder, and the teachers send it to the Scrip office. Orders are filled on Wednesdays and are delivered to classrooms to be sent home to the parents in the child’s school folder. Orders can be sent in on any weekday and will be filled from inventory on hand or processed the following Monday.
