The After School Care Program will provide supervised care in a nurturing environment. It is an extension of our school day, and the rules and policies in our Parent-Student Handbook will be enforced. Failure to follow school rules will result in the enforcement of the appropriate school discipline policy. Students who are consistently disruptive will be asked to leave the program.

Sample Daily After School Care Schedule 

Preschool (K2, K3, K4) 

Each group will participate in a mixture of inside and outside free play every afternoon. This will vary each day according to the needs of each group. One snack will be provided at the beginning of After School Care (typically at 3:30 p.m.). Parents may send a second snack if desired. You may report to the back entrance of the preschool building to pick up your child each day.
    
Kindergarten - 8th Grade

• Dismissal to 3:30 p.m. Carpool/Homework Time
• 3:30 p.m. Snack - Each child is offered one snack each day. Parents may send a second snack as well if desired.
• 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Free Play on the school playground/field (weather permitting)
• 5:00 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. Movie/Board games inside

Parents should report to the Cougar Den to pick up their children each day.

The After School Care Program is not responsible for any child’s homework. We offer the allotted time and any assistance reading a question or directions. Parents are encouraged to check their child’s homework daily for completion and correctness.

Student Responsibilities 
All students must come straight to their ASC classrooms and never wander the campus unsupervised. 

All students are expected to follow the rules in the CCS Parent-Student Handbook and any additional ASC rules. 

Students are expected to treat all supervising adults with respect: following directions, accepting responsibility, choosing honesty, and cleaning up trash and ASC equipment the student has used.

Students may not use cell phones or other electronic devices. Please do not call or text your child to relay information. If you need to send a message to your child prior to pick up you may contact us through email at [email protected], or call the school office during school office hours (251-342-5474 ext. 1), or the preschool front desk after school hours (251-342-5474 ext. 1108).

Parent Responsibilities 
A registration form must be completed. If a paper copy is needed. Please contact the school office.

Sign-out sheets must be signed daily. Please write times clearly to ensure the appropriate charges are made to your account.

If anyone other than those listed on the registration form will pick up your child we must receive written notice. A photo ID is required. New employees may ask parents for their ID while getting to know the families. Please be patient with them while we are working to ensure safety.

ASC closes at 5:45 p.m. A late fee of $15 per any portion of 15 minutes will be applied to each child picked up after 5:45 p.m.

Any child that is going to be leaving ASC with a coach for practice MUST have a permission slip filled out. A separate form is available for this on our website, or in the school office. Keep your email up to date with the ASC program for important announcements.

If your child is enrolled at ASC and needs to be released to attend a sports practice at school, please fill out a sports practice release form.

Both early morning care (6am - 7am) and early drop off (7am - 7:30am) are available ​before school begins each day. Registration is not required for early morning ​care or early drop-off.
